About PRIPRI - PHOTON Research Industry is the new Franco-European event, 100% dedicated to the PHOTON and its applications that unites professionals from all walks of the optics-photonics domain.
Initiated by a group of industrial members of the AFOP (French Optical Association), and overseen by a strategic advisory committee, PRI represents the various domains that comprise the optics-photonics sector. Once the idea was launched, leading industrials and optics clusters came on board and, with the support of the SFO (French Optical Society), the PRI team was quickly able to establish the first edition of the event in 2009.
The goals of PRI - PHOTON Research Industry are to:
- Assemble professionals from all walks of the optics photonics industry in one place where they can expand their network, exchange ideas and develop their business;
- Unite multiple meetings and conferences with an industry tradeshow, all decidacted to the optics-photonics field, under one roof in order to provide a unique panoramic view of the sector;
- Promote the optics photonics industry beyond its public perception to facilitate the development of new markets and applications.
A Dedicated AssociationThe PRI - PHOTON Research Industry event was established by the PRI - PHOTON Research Industry association. The association was founded by the AFOP and the SFO (French Optical Society) and its members include representatives of the optics photonics industry.
A Responsible ApproachThe PRI - PHOTON Research Industry event was established in keeping with an environmentally sound approach. PRI is committed to reducing, whenever possible, the ecological footprint left behind by the event. To achieve this, certain measures will be put into place:
- Printing on 50-100% recycled paper while using plant based inks, depending on the support.
- Limiting the quantities of printed materials whenever possible
- Actively pursuing environmentally sound solutions for the exhibition hall including carpeting, lighting, heating, furniture, printing
